Renzenbrink Goes Wild, But Escape Win
Scranton withstood an impressive performance by Fairfield catcher Garin Renzenbrink to defeat the Flash, 13-8, at Hell Stadium. Renzenbrink went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Scranton reliever Bryan Billings picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Pat Bertram took the loss. The Escape now own a record of 31-24.

Scranton took a 10-8 lead on Ryan Lewis's 9th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Lewis hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Fairfield pitcher Ralph Petersen visibly frustrated.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Julián Cancil said.
