The inspired effort of Fairfield third baseman Alastair Honniball was not enough to prevent a 7-5 loss to the Bowling Green Racers. Honniball was 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kyung-hwan Ho got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Bowling Green is now 29-23.

Bowling Green pinch hitter José Morín changed the game in the top of the eighth when he belted a 3-run home run off Ralph Petersen. His 4th home run of the season gave Bowling Green a 7-5 lead.
