The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 5-4, at Stanley Park today. Leading the charge for Vancouver was shortstop Cesar Sandino. He went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver reliever Alexis Coates picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Jonathan Kelly took the loss. The Canadians' win now puts them at 28-26.

The Canadians were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Kiemon Matsunaga turned a first pitch fastball from Jonathan Kelly into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Vancouver a thrilling 5-4 win.

Sandino described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
