The Peoria Caterpillars grabbed a 8-3 win over the Billings Mustangs at Cobb Field. Peoria right fielder Roger Barrett was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. Peoria, now 29-24, holds third place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.

In the top of the first inning, catcher Eugene Axe came through big-time for the Caterpillars. With Peoria leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
