The Silver Lake Baristas did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Scranton Escape at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Arata Shimizu, who captured player of the game honors. With the win, Silver Lake goes to 21-34, while the Escape fall to 30-23.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Hilario Martínez came to bat in the bottom of the 14th. Facing Scranton pitcher Bobby Lucio, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Silver Lake on top, 3-2.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Martínez said.
