Detroit right-hander Felipe Marés helped his team edge Minneapolis by the score of 3-2. Marés kept the opposing lineup in check. The Death Stars raised their record to 22-30.

Takanobu Kawamura contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Detroit get the win.

After the game, Detroit manager David Parker applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
