The Philadelphia Freedom defeated the Bronx Bombers, 6-5, in Darryl Kile League action at Bronx Ballpark, with Philadelphia first baseman Shunsho Meshizuka named player of the game. Philadelphia reliever Bernard Edgar picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Pedro López absorbed the loss. Philadelphia is now 33-17. Bronx is 16-35.

Also having an impact was third baseman Hugo Henrique, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth for Philadelphia. For the game, Henrique was 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
