Phantoms Jolt Mustangs with Late Rally
The Coronado Phantoms walked off with a big win today at Phantoms Field.

The Coronado Phantoms turned back the Billings Mustangs, 6-5, at Phantoms Field. Giampaolo Marcovicci was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Coronado reliever You-liang Rang picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Diego Castro took the loss.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Marcovicci. Facing Diego Castro with the bases loaded, the Coronado first baseman had a run-scoring walk. Game over, walk-off style!

"It wasn't our best performance," said Marcovicci, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

Billings is in the throes of a 9-game losing streak.
