Ramos Shines in Freedom Win
|
The Philadelphia Freedom downed the Silver Lake Baristas, 8-2, at Ashton Gate. The Freedom were led by Jesús Ramos, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Freedom have an impressive 32-17 record.
Imran Sadozai delivered a big hit for the Freedom. The veteran center fielder belted a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. The longball put Philadelphia on top, 4-0. Overall, Sadozai went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Philadelphia manager Dan Jones.
