The Caterpillars had to overcome a fine effort from Canton pitcher Eduardo Diadoni to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Mckinley Park. Diadoni went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Adam Stickells closed it out for his 9th save. Peoria has 3 straight wins, Canton 3 straight losses.
Eugene Axe had the most critical at-bat for Peoria. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Axe hit a full count fastball from Will Taylor for a run-scoring single. It put Peoria in front, 2-1.
