Vancouver Canadians starter Peter McColgan turned in a top-notch performance against the Detroit Death Stars at The Death Star. The result was a win for the Canadians, 5-2. Alexis Coates closed the door for Vancouver, picking up his 4th save of the year. The 4th-place Canadians have won 4 in a row.

Tameyoshi Okuda went 1-4 with a triple for Vancouver. In a tie game with two out in the top of the second, Okuda came through with a run-scoring triple. It put the Canadians in front, 1-0.
