Racers Knock Off Freeze, 6-3
|
The Bowling Green Racers racked up a win at The Ice Box, bumping off the Minneapolis Freeze, 6-3. Alain Picard, who started for Bowling Green, pitched effectively for his team. Getting the save was Keith Martin, his 11th. The Racers sit in second place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 26-19.
Arnáo Reininho was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once against the Freeze. In the top of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Bowling Green in front, 1-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Reininho said.
