|
Yaichiro Yokoyama made an impact in the 6-3 Astoria win over Fort Worth. Yokoyama, who is tied for 4th in the DKL in total bases with 90, was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Ronald Lee recorded the save for Astoria, his 2nd of the season. Fort Worth now has a 5-game losing streak.
Yokoyama brought the fans to their feet in the bottom of the third, when the 27-year old catcher ripped a grand slam home run. The round-tripper put Astoria ahead, 4-0.
In comments to the Astoria Citizen, Yokoyama admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
