Mustangs Fall Short at Bronx
The Bronx Ballpark faithful were treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Bronx Bombers beat the Billings Mustangs, 9-8 at Bronx Ballpark, in part due to left fielder Lonnie Martin, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times. Bronx reliever Ewan Pethick picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Diego Castro shouldered the loss.

Rafael Campos was the walk-off hero for Bronx. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bombers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Martin. "Maybe this win will help."

Bronx has now won 3 straight, while the Mustangs have lost 3 in a row.
