Big Day for Hayagawa as Escape Down Banditos, 9-7
|
Masujiro Hayagawa was instrumental in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Acapulco Banditos. The right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Scranton Escape. Javier Colón got the save, the 1st for him this season. The losses continue to mount for Acapulco, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Scranton took a 8-7 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, shortstop Dylan Light hit a 2-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager John Perry. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
