Kim Leads Escape to Win over Banditos
|
Il-hwan Kim helped his team muscle past the Acapulco Banditos, 18-6. In the game, the Scranton first baseman went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7. Rino Nitisastro picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 1 hit, while walking 4 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 3-1. The Escape now have a record of 24-18 with the win over Acapulco.
With Scranton leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Kim hit a bases-clearing double off Acapulco hurler Lonnie Young. It was the 4th double of the season for Kim and put his team ahead, 6-0.
"Good win for us," said Kim. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
