The Bronx Bombers used an offensive barrage to beat the Astoria Argonauts, 11-2, at Golden Fleece Park. Bernard Nickless led the way, going 2-for-4 for Bronx. Gerardo Vela, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held Astoria to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts.
