Cacti Win, McAuley goes 3-for-3
|
Floyd McAuley was instrumental in his team's 5-2 triumph over the Vancouver Canadians. The first baseman went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Albuquerque Cacti. The second-place Cacti are now 21-20, the Canadians 21-21.
Hisataro Sato recorded an important out in the bottom of the ninth. The Canadians were trailing 5-2, but Vancouver had a runner on 1st. With no one out, Sato threw Cesar Sandino a great changeup and Sandino grounded out.
