Big Day by Kato Ignites Bombers Win
|
The Bronx Bombers topped the Astoria Argonauts, 7-2, in Darryl Kile League action at Golden Fleece Park. The player of the game was Bronx shortstop Masanori Kato. The losses continue to mount for Astoria, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Kato was 4 for 5 with 2 triples and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 against the Argonauts. In the top of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring triple that scored 1 and put Bronx in front, 1-0.
