Losing Streak Continues for Mustangs with 1-0 Loss to Caterpillars
|
Francisco Zúñiga pitched a gem to lead Peoria to a 1-0 victory over the Billings Mustangs. Zúñiga picked up the win for Peoria, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 6-0. The losses continue to add up for Billings, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
Yang Xing had a go-ahead single for Peoria in the bottom of the sixth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the 25-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring single off Barnabé Bacm. His 27th hit of the season made the score 1-0.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Greg Morgan.
