|
Omaha rode a decent outing from starter Millard Richardson to victory over the Pasadena Bumblebees at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The final score was 6-3. The winning pitcher was Richardson, now 5-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. Jim Unknown got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Mario Encarnación contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Omaha get the win.
"Millard was pounding the zone," said Omaha manager Manuel Ruíz.
Omaha, at 21-19, occupies first place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
