The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to sneak past the Fort Worth Cats, 6-5, at LaGrave Field. Coronado designated hitter Terrence Sepkiechler earned player of the game honors. Coronado reliever Louie Conner picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Robby Guzman absorbed the loss. The save was credited to Pedro Alejo, his 6th.

Andy Sabean had the most critical at-bat for Coronado. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Sabean hit a 1-0 fastball from Robby Guzman for a run-scoring double. It put Coronado in front, 6-5.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Sabean, "but we could've played better."

The Phantoms, now 19-21, have won 4 in a row.
