Canadians Deal Aeropostales 7-6 Setback
Indian Wells first baseman Lewis Pitman had a good game, even if his team did not. The Aeropostales dropped a 7-6 decision to Vancouver at Stars Field. Pitman went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Peter McColgan, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 3-2. Getting the save was Alexis Coates, his 1st.

Vancouver took a 7-4 lead on Thomas Schmidt's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Schmidt hit in the top of the seventh, left Indian Wells pitcher Wout Andelbeek visibly frustrated.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Canadians manager John Harrison. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The second-place Canadians now have a win-loss record of 21-18.
