Death Stars Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
Fans who congregated at The Death Star were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Detroit Death Stars turned back the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-4, at The Death Star. Yan Rossi was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Detroit reliever Raul Nunez was the winner. His record is now 4-6. The losing pitcher was Cory McCoy.

The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Cory McCoy, Lloyd Murphy hit a walk-off run-scoring double. It gave Detroit the 5-4 walk-off win.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Minneapolis manager John Justin.

Detroit is now 17-21, Minneapolis 17-21.
