Freeze Come Back Late, Nip Death Stars

The Freeze grabbed a win, 4-3, at The Death Star, overcoming a fine effort from Detroit pitcher Dao-zi Chou. Chou went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Minneapolis reliever Xian Wang picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Raul Nunez was collared with the loss. Minneapolis is third in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division with a record of 17-20.
This game was not decided until Frank Chaulk came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, the Minneapolis left fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Freeze took the lead, 4-3.
Detroit manager David Parker said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
