In a close game at The Firepit, the Minneapolis Freeze edged the Joplin Fireballs, 5-4. Minneapolis right fielder Rafael Vázquez earned the nod as player of the game. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win over Joplin, the Freeze improved to 16-20.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Lian-wei Khu hit a sacrifice fly. The Freeze took the lead, 5-4.
