Gregg Stars in Cacti Win
|
With third baseman John Gregg leading the charge, the Albuquerque Cacti defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 7-1, at Phantoms Field. Gregg, who leads the NAL with a .688 slugging percentage, hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. With the win, the Cacti improved to 18-17.
Gregg contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Albuquerque get the win.
"I just love going out and having a big game," Gregg said when asked about being named player of the game. "It's an honor to have your talents recognized."
