Philadelphia beat Billings in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Billings center fielder David Ramírez was sensational. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Philadelphia beat the Mustangs, 10-6. Ramírez was named the player of the game despite the loss. Manuel Cortéz, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Nobuatsu Fukumoto got credit for the save for Philadelphia. It was his 8th of the year.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Jang-lu Xiang hit a full count fastball from Diego Castro for a 2-run single. It put Philadelphia in front, 8-6.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Xiang.

With the win, Philadelphia goes to 19-14, while the Mustangs fall to 22-13.
