Aeropostales Fall Short at Coronado
The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Phantoms Field. Nobody did more than shortstop Isao Tanaka, who captured player of the game honors. The win was Louie Conner's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bappaka Ramanakoppa took the loss for Indian Wells. The losses continue to mount for Indian Wells, which has now dropped 8 in a row.

Coronado took control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, Terrence Sepkiechler hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Phantoms.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Mario Perez, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
