The Astoria Argonauts thumped the Billings Mustangs, 8-1, at Golden Fleece Park. Yeong-il Kim was a big reason his team got the win. Kim went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Astoria is now 18-15, Billings 22-12.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Argonauts sent 22-year-old center fielder Pancho Figueroa to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run, to put Astoria on top, 2-1.

Said losing manager Greg Morgan: "Give the Argonauts credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
