The Bombers had to overcome a good performance from Peoria pitcher Yoshiaga Rin to claim a 4-3 win at Bronx Ballpark. Rin went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Caterpillars, now 17-13, continue their sluggish start.

The Bombers used some clutch hitting to beat the Caterpillars, a good example being the at-bat of Griff Horrocks in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, Horrocks gave his team the lead, 4-1, when he hit a bases-clearing double.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Peoria manager Roberto Martínez. "The effort was great."
