Aeropostales Continue Skid Thanks to Sabean, Phantoms
|
The Coronado Phantoms defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 10-3, at Phantoms Field. Coronado third baseman Andy Sabean was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The save was credited to Louie Conner, his 1st. The Aeropostales fall to 15-17 and continue their uneasy start to the 2032 season.
Leonard Wright, who is tied for 8th in the NAL in triples with 1, aided the Coronado cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Sabean.
