Baristas Topple Titans as Sai Shines
Masayoshi Sai was instrumental in his team's 10-5 triumph over the Chicago Titans. The first baseman slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Silver Lake Baristas. Silver Lake reliever Acanda Choudhary was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jian-cheng Wang. Cyprien Bataille got credit for the save for Silver Lake. It was his 1st of the year.

Tony Gómez had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Baristas. Coming up with the bases loaded and Silver Lake trailing 4-3, he hit a bases-clearing double.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Gómez.

The Titans, now 14-17, continue their slow start.
