Fairfield got an elite performance from starting pitcher Bi`nh Trieu in taking a 5-1 decision over the Antioch Coal Miners. Trieu picked up the win for Fairfield, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-4. With the win, Fairfield improves its record to 16-12.

The Flash used some clutch hitting to beat the Coal Miners, a good example being the at-bat of Yoshitake Morita in the top of the third. With two down, Morita gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he hit a run-scoring double.

"Enjoyed this one," Morita told the Fairfield News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
