Thrilling Victory Pushes Racers Win Streak to 7
|
The Racers had to overcome a fine performance from Bronx pitcher Sébastien Duval to grab a 4-3 win at Top of the Hill. Duval allowed 3 earned runs over 6 innings. Bowling Green, now 16-10, has played well in the early going.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Carter Kotas had a chance to end it. Bronx pitcher Ewan Pethick had other ideas. But with one out, Kotas hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Racers had the win.
Kotas said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
