Fairfield used a superb performance from starting pitcher Gabriel Bernard to down the Billings Mustangs, 6-1. Getting the save was Pat Bertram, his 1st. Losses have been few and far between for the Mustangs so far this season. Their record drops to 18-9.

The fans who came in support of the Flash were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Bernard told a Fairfield News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
