Both teams had their chances, but the Reno Raiders eventually prevailed at Phantoms Field.
Reno got a strong outing from Gerardo Estrada as the Raiders defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 3-2, at Phantoms Field. The loss lowers the Coronado record to 9-17.
Casey Freemann drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Reno. In the top of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Freemann delivered for the Raiders. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Reno on top, 2-1.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Freemann.
