The Antioch Coal Miners and Indian Wells Aeropostales put on a pitchers' duel at Stars Field.

Antioch used a superb performance from starting pitcher Matsuyo Koda to down the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 2-0. In 6.1 innings, Koda surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Javier Galindo earned the save for Antioch, his 9th.

Antioch second baseman Roger Schäfer helped the Coal Miners go up, 1-0, in the top of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Schäfer hit a solo home run off Indian Wells pitcher Luciano Carreiras.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Koda told the Antioch Citizen.

Antioch is now 19-7.
