Freeze Lose, 6-3, at Bronx Ballpark
|
Starting pitcher Gerardo Vela pitched well enough to help the Bronx Bombers beat the Minneapolis Freeze by the score of 6-3. The Bombers, with only their 6th win in 22 games, could be the worst team in the league.
Lyle Keller had a go-ahead double for Bronx in the bottom of the fourth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the 21-year old left fielder hit a 2-run double off Norberto Bianchi. His 1st double of the season made the score 2-0.
Keller told a Bronx Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
