Vancouver rode a fine outing from starter Yoshiaki Kojima to victory over the Scranton Escape at Stanley Park. The final score was 4-1. Vancouver reliever Bob Johnston picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Yong-kook Chong was collared with the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Escape, who are now 17-6.

Dolf Versluis delivered for Vancouver in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run off Scranton pitcher Shane Westmacott put Vancouver in front, 4-1.

"I like what I saw today," said Vancouver manager John Harrison, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
