The Albuquerque Cacti got a superb performance from first baseman Floyd McAuley, but the Scranton Escape still won the game, 9-8. McAuley was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4-7 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Escape, now 17-4, have had a terrific start to the season.

Scranton shortstop Monzaemon Yamamoto said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the 15th. He did more than that -- Yamamoto hit a solo home run to stake Scranton to a 9-8 lead. His 2nd home run of the season came off Albuquerque pitcher Shunji Kurota.

Yamamoto said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
