A nice crowd turned out to see the Billings Mustangs and Pasadena Bumblebees clash at The Hole.
The Billings Mustangs picked up a win at The Hole, knocking off the Pasadena Bumblebees, 7-3. Starting pitcher José Chávez was an essential part of his team's success. Billings, now 13-8, has played well in the early going.
The Mustangs got a clutch hit from Pete Rowland with no one out in the top of the seventh inning. Rowland jumped on a 0-1 fastball from Yoshitoki Hakui and hit a double, staking his club to a 3-2 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Chávez.
