Freeze Suffer 3-1 Loss to Caterpillars
|
Peoria Caterpillars starter Jim Obershaw turned in a top-notch performance against the Minneapolis Freeze at Excavatar Park. The result was a win for the Caterpillars, 3-1. Obershaw went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-1. The Caterpillars raised their record to 12-7.
Doing his part for Peoria was right fielder Danny Sanchez, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Sanchez went 1-4 with a double.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Peoria manager Roberto Martínez said.
