The Minneapolis Freeze buried the Peoria Caterpillars, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Akihiro Matsumoto led the onslaught, going 3-for-4 for Minneapolis. Curt Hart was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Larry Greer earned his 2nd save in 2 tries.
