San Francisco right-hander Jin-woo Pi was in fine form, shutting out the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 2-0. Pi went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0. Christian Wallace was credited with the save for San Francisco, his 5th of the season.

The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Oklahoma City trailing 2-0, Christian Wallace needed to get a big out. On a 1-1 curveball, Jorge Sánchez grounded out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.

The win brings the Earthquakes to 8-10, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
