Hasegawa, Death Stars Fall to Bombers
The Bronx Bombers outlasted Tsurayuki Hasegawa and the Detroit Death Stars, 10-8. Hasegawa was impressive in the loss. The Detroit designated hitter belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. "Lousy" describes the Detroit performance in the early going.

Had it not been for Eric Swinney, the results might have been different. In the top of the ninth inning, when the Bombers were trailing 8-6, Swinney hit a grand slam home run for Bronx, giving his team the lead.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Swinney, "but we got it done."
