The Scranton Escape thumped the Fort Worth Cats, 8-2, at LaGrave Field. Monzaemon Yamamoto was a big reason his team got the win. Yamamoto went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Junji Kobayashi, who went 9 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 3-1. The Escape, now 14-3, have been red hot.

Dylan Light contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Scranton get the win.

"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Scranton manager Julián Cancil.
