Big Day for Sanchez as Caterpillars Down Raptors, 7-4
The Peoria Caterpillars knocked off the Omaha Raptors, 7-4, at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Danny Sanchez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Peoria won. The right fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Mitsuzuka Koyama picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. The Raptors fall to 5-11 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2032 season.

A key moment came when Sanchez faced Omaha hurler Nick Hill in the top of the fifth. The Caterpillars, who were trailing 3-2, had the bases loaded. Sanchez got a first pitch fastball and hit a 2-run single.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Sanchez told the Peoria Bulletin. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
