The Detroit Death Stars electrified the home crowd at The Death Star with a walk-off win.
The Detroit Death Stars picked up a win at The Death Star, knocking off the Bronx Bombers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Felipe Marés played a key role in the triumph. The win brings the Death Stars to 7-9, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Detroit won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Ronald Stevens on the mound for Bronx, shortstop Sagramor Vob hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Death Stars fans to their feet.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Marés said.
