Fairfield Makes It 7 Straight with 4-2 Win

The Fairfield Flash extended their winning streak at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Fairfield turned a good effort from starter Joe Gillard into a win over the Chicago Titans at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The final score was 4-2. The Titans fall to 6-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Had Jorge Escobedo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Escobedo hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Flash.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Bill Riordan.
